Snap Ebay 1,750 GBP perhaps, on a good day over 2,000 GBP . Don’t forget this is a US forum. Your answers may well be in dollars. GBP = British pounds.

Just a note:

Yes, this site does mainly see US traffic, but also keep in mind that exchange rates are not the only factor to consider when gauging your local pricing versus foreign pricing. Actual market value may vary greatly.

How much do think it would go for in the US cre, the bit about unfinished project” and 1000's spent too much to list” concerns me, that’s the sort of information you would list to attract a buyer.

Has it been drifted, are those all the mods it has? If it was completely stock power plant with good-excellent interior and exterior, I have personally seen people buy MK3's for 7K+ US currency for under 50-100k mile cars, with those mods though... I would have to say its been used for racing or drifting which drops that by about half in the eye's of anyone with mechanical knowledge, so with that said it could go for 3.5-5.5k in US. Also remember things such as kelly blue book and other sites that value based on the year and condition won't generally value it as high as someone who knows about cars.

I think $7,000USD is quite overly optimistic. In my area, it'd probably see as much as $5,000USD if you're very patient... I wouldn't pay over $4,000USD myself... If I found much more rust than what I've already spotted under the hood my offer would be half. None of the mods listed are "value adders" for me.

This guy is local: http://denver.craigslist.org/cto/1509262888.html He want's $7,000.... I expect he'll probably get around $6,000. His is as clean (cleaner under the hood), better documented and has a LOT more invested in upgrades and building and even lower mileage.

I'm sorry to say it, but these cars just aren't worth much. I sure wish they were worth more... I'd have sold mine ages ago and bought something else. ;)

Yeah, pretty sure all the ones I saw go for 7,000-7,500 were the 92 sunroof leather interior turbo models with under 50k, I personally bought an all original sunroof 38k with no problems what so ever for 7k even.

cre 12-22-2009 01:08 AM

'92s are quite rare... a factory sunroof is even more so... add to that abnormally low mileage and you've got circumstances do not merit any basis for a standard market value. ;)

Here I see them listed for prices all over the place, $300 up to $9,000 (that was a very well built 2JZ swap). I would estimate the average they sell for though in relatively stock condition is in the mid to upper $2000s (maybe as much as lower to mid $3000s if the body and interior are excellent).

Don't get me wrong though... if someone's looking to sell I think they should ask as much as they can! I feel these cars are worth a whole lot more than the "market" dictates. Pressing for more may help bring their value back up... hell a Camaro of the same year is worth twice as much as a MKIII in the same condition (possibly more), and they're weak (I know, I've beet plenty and my car is no monster). Like they say, you'll never know what you'll get unless you ask. Now I'm off to reply to some queries about the PowerBook I need to sell. ;)
