Measurment of DS?

does anyone know the measurement of the ds in an 89 supra turbo?

Drive shaft shops ask you to measure because they build it to fit YOUR car. Over the past 20 years there can be as much as a 1/2" (possibly more) difference from one car to the next. Too short and you greatly reduce the area over which power is distributed creating a weak spot; Too long and there is no slack for the movement of the other drive train components.

(just a note for anyone else viewing this thread) Also, the drive shafts for the W58, R154 and the A340E are all different lengths.; They are NOT interchangeable. If you're going to be swapping trannies anytime soon, plan on selling the DS and buying another.

To measure you need to pull the existing drive shaft and measure from the tip of the transmission output yoke to the flat of the differential's input flange as close to center as possible.
