No start/fire after valve job

Well, everything is back together from my rebuild. I did a poor job of taking pictures in the beginning. I have a ground wire left over, and I'm not sure where it goes. My coil pack is grounded. I also have 2 orange female plugs between the injector rail and the intake. I can't figure out where they go. There were a lot of loose plugs in my car when I stated. Assuming some are because the car is 90 N/A, and the motor is 89 turbo...I took my chances and tried to start it.

The car is in time, and just turns over. It doesn't fire, but occasionally puffs a little bit out of the exhaust. I'm not sure if this makes a difference or not, but the tack jumps a little the entire time while cranking. It doesn't backfire, but it makes popping noises while cranking.

I guess I'm going to start with the grounding issues, and finding out where these orange plugs go. I'll post some pics.

There are two VSV under the intake plenum on the GTE, one is for the EGR and the other is for the fuel pressure regulator. Those plugs appear to be the VSV plugs.

As for the lack of starting... is it no spark or no starting? They're not mutually inclusive. If you do have spark and it's just not firing properly you may need to check the mechanical timing of everything (cam gears and crank pully need to all be at 0? and the CPS needs to be set properly). Bill UK covered the process of setting the timing wonderfully here: http://www.toyota-supra.info/forums/...on-sensor.html

If you have no spark at all start with checking the EFI fuse in the engine bay fuse box, check for error codes, verify that all grounds are connected, test for power at +B and +B1 at the ECU (if no power at those pins then test the main EFI relay).

Would these 2 plugs keep it from starting?

No, not if those are the plugs I think they are... even if they aren't I can't think of any components that use that type of plug that would prevent the car from starting.
