who is using what .

i'm seeing these venom ones for around $300 a set and i've always planned on a set RC for around $500
i know what type impedence to use im just wondering who uses what

thanks

bigal0043 08-11-2005 06:48 PM

well i have been doing lots of research and everyone has said to use the rc ones and not to use the venom ones... im no expert just repeating what everyone seems to say

ddmcse 08-11-2005 09:25 PM

yeah i've seen that too. thats why i posting to find out

ddmcse 08-12-2005 12:54 AM

it sure is tempting just snapping them in as opposed to splicing RC

monkihead 08-12-2005 02:02 AM

aw hell, getting those in a few more weeks, but im looking into some accel injectors. i really dont know if there any better, im just getting em cheap.

I don't think you have to splice if you get the adapters. Also, the impedence is complicated, you can't use a high impedence in a low impedence system, but you can use a low impedence in a high impedence system (or is it the other way around  ), but using the proper impedence is best.

I believe ALL the turbo models are high impedence and the N/A's are low.

ddmcse 08-12-2005 11:03 AM

the mkiii turbo uses low

suprra_girl 08-15-2005 10:52 AM

ya poodles you got it right... but the other way round ;)

i've got rotary ones but they're high impedance so i'm gonna rip out the resistor pack :)

only got 4 so far tho... stupid rotors LOL

Yeah, I wasn't quite sure which was which. I think stock injectors are lucas injectors, which use a needle that moves in and out, but can jam. Bosche style injectors are a rotary valve, and are more reliable.

Don't quote me on this, as it's a pain to track down this info, but my bro tends to know this stuff as he had to research injectors for his T/A...
