First time Supra buyer. Tips/Advice. See setup inside plz

Hi,

OK I have some good reason to think this car is legit. I have not finalized the deal yet. I went through Ebay and I am going to go check out the car and hopefully purchase it. Please look at the setup and let me know what you think because I am new to this scene although I am an amateur mechanic I drive my dad's old 1995 Ford Ranger.

Please don't rip me on the price I'm paying here. I think I'm getting a good deal as long as the car is as described. I know i'm gonna have to put some work into it but that's part of the fun for me. Anyway, this is my first car purchase. Ya, i could've done it better but friends....I love this body style and this car just seems like a great buy.

What should I look for on this car? How can I tell if it was rebuilt properly? What tell tale signs should I look for of things going wrong? The mods he has put into it seem pretty standard after looking on this forum for awhile. He has a Lexus 400 MAF but did not list any 550ci injectors. Will this be a problem? Oh...the car has 250k miles on it but the motor and trans were rebuilt at 220k...new clutch, new dash, new windshield...etc just look.

Check it out:

Note - the Power Steering leaks - I am including a new Hose and have replaced the pump - including another pump. I just haven't had time to complete this project.

The car needs a new "Cold Start Injector" due to hard initial starting. But after a couple turns, the car fires up great ! Has LOTS of power and sounds good ! This is a great car with LOTS of potential and FUN !

Car needs a paint job as you note in the pics.

The car is being sold to start my next project - a 1990 corvette.

You will be obtaining a Great car - at MY LOSS !

------------------------------------

I will be with my mechanic. We are going to drive the car and show up early to see if he ran it that day to cover any leaks potentially. We will check the heads for leaks. Check the turbo for leaks etc. Look for smoke. Things like that... Your thoughts??

Thanks!
-Michael
