check the cylinder compresion,and spark plugs,if they both check out at the same time ,retorque all head bolts to 72 ft lbs.is this a right hand drive?, because eight o clock on an american introduced supra is completely off the gauge,maybe you meen 4 o clock?as long as it doesn't overheat durring regular driving it's okay.when you race this engine it may get hot because the desighners only desighned the coolant system for efficientcy as long as the engine is driven normally.the factory should have torqued the head down tighter when thedy replaced the head gasket,but it is never bad to double check that every thing is okay,hope this helps peace!
