well not there yet, i just got my supra last month, and engine started knocking, and since i dont have alot of money i am replacing the na motor with another na motor for now. sometime around income tax time (jan feb for you non americans) i am gonna get a turbo motor, or do something really crazy, small v-8 maybe. we will see

how much stock horsepower does an 88 supra nonturbo have?

it has 200hp at the crank and 188 ft-lbs of torque

As much as i wish it could.....i doubt it...those things are fast as hell stock.....i think i've driven every car on the planet...but as long as the 90 was a turbo Supra very easily could it be upgraded to waste it

but thinkiing about it i guess if i was to get spanked again by a 400hp machine it would be better to see you passing me instead of a mustang this one got me but it wasn't quick and it wasn't easy

@ 9psi with a test pipes down pipe and cat back (all 90mm piping) I put down 265 WHP and 260 FLBs of torque. Stock I put down 190 WHP. Keep in mind I also had my turbo rebuilt and I have a JDM 7MGTE, which I have heard has better cams than the USDM 7MGTE. Now I am running 12 psi and have added an adjustable fuel pressure regulator so I should be close to 300WHP. Dyno runs coming soon.

I heard the exact opposite about the cams, well at least on the MkIV's :blink:

i have very close to the same setup and i'm getting 300hp now @ 9lbs.
3 more pounds will yeild . 35 more hp ? i do have a 3" elbow and i removed the a/c and the clutch/type fan .
so maybe it's safe to say these 3 differences are worth 35 hp .

Maybe a MkIV vs a WRX... WRX is gonna eat the Supra in the bottom end, but the Supra has the top end scream to win.

(YAH, figured out that my HG has already been replaced, gonna torque it down to the tighter spec, and push more boost all day WOOOOOOT)

actually that would be a good run. my old modded tib was challenged by a wrx, which was considered a close run. my supra is way faster than the tib, so i'd say its a good run, supra on the upper hand.
