Default Codes 41 and 51

I am getting Fuel I am getting spark, My timing belt is not broken, I got codes 41 and I think 51 but not sure so I tried to repeat it and it would not flash again just stayed on. So I am baffled. My car died suddenly only fires for 2 seconds if I start it the first time every day.

41 is open or short sircuit in throttle control sensor could this be the problem. 51 is AC I am so over my head here it seems. Thanks for your help

Let's not posts questions about our specific problems in the FAQ. Make a new post in the regular section, please. I've moved this to it's own thread in the regular MKIII section...

Code 51 is A/C switch OR IDL switch (a switch inside the TPS) You can cause this code by pressing the throttle while the engine is in diagnostic mode. Otherwise it's an indicator that the TPS needs to be adjusted (see the throttle body section under EFI in the TSRM).
