where is the water pump located at on a 7mgt

its the thing the fan is bolted to...

could the water pump cause the car to leak water

Can happen. Shaft seals could have gone out, or the gasket where it mounts to the block could be bad.

i think it is the gasket where it mounts to the block when you stand in front of it is it to your right

Seriously, it's behind the radiator fan. The fan clutch mounts to a pulley which mounts on the WP shaft, just follow that back and you'll see the WP itself. If there's no sign of water running out along the shaft then it's probably just the gasket.

Yep. A mechanic could pressurize the cooling system for you to verify where the water is leaking from, tell whether it's just the gasket or the pump itself (the shaft seals aren't replaceable that I know of).
