code 24 (cel)

i have a 1987 toyota supra turbo 5spd. I have code 24 for intake air temp sensor circuit short or open. I tested the ohms of the afm it passed. i checked the wiring until it goes inbetween the intake plenum. I have the same voltages from the sensor to the ecu. I even tried using a hair dryer to change ohhms of sensor it still passed. any1 had any similiar problems or ideas. Im leaning towards an ecu.

Do you have any noticable symptoms other than the code 24?

i have tons. No idle it goes from 350-1200 after a while stalls. it stutters and hesitats all the time once the light is on. sometime it takes til its warm but mostly now its as soon as i start it up. once a little bit of load is applied it just shakes basically rpm drops. feels like someone pulls the wires right off while driving. Feels like its running so lean i got no gas to keep it running. rpm doesnt seem to matter or the gear

I had this problem once on one of my other cars though it turned out that I had to replace the sensors...I would go for that rather then purchasing the ecu besides it would be easier to start out cheaper :D

I was thinking that but its passing and i cant find any of those sensors around the ecu;s are actually cheaper lol

You can purchase the sensors from the dealership unfortunately. But the one runs around $200 something.
