so i went today to check out a 90 supra, 7mge, dude told me its jdm but im not too sure about that, im kinda set on not geting it because when i talked to him about it he said that all he had to do was put the throttle body back together and it would start, but he had no clue how to cuz when i got there he messed it all up and there was hoses going to no where, and since im only 17 im not really up on knowing how to hook it all up right, what im asking is there someone here that has a pic of a jdm 7mge or knows of a way to check if it is one thats kinda quick, i got this guy down to 900 for it from 1100, but even then i think its a little high for what he needs, it needs trim, paint, interiors a lil messed up, drivers door dont open, tps, clutch cylinder and the starter is messed because he has a switch for the ignition instead of the normal key ignition, i really like this car but for a tight buget, just to get it running sounds like it might be a pretty big chore

Sounds like a bad buy. JDM 7m and US 7m. I'm not even sure there's a difference. If it was a 1jz maybe you'd be able to tell the difference. If there's wires everywhere then he's obviouly lying to you about putting the throttle body back on and getting it to work. Tell him to do it and you'll buy it just to see his reaction.

Unless you have time and knowledge of the car I'd suggest not wasting your money on a potental failed project.

ok thanx and i have general knowledge from working on cars but not really too much on supras and thats what i was gonna do today, tell him id definatly buy it if it was running

thank you it helps a little bit, i kinda need to see the throttle body more because i wanna see how its hooked up but ya thats exactly what it loks like except the kid took off the cam gear cover to show off his stock cam gears hahaha and a few other things but thank you very much, iv decided that imma buy it, but go to him with 700 cash figure that should make him just say ya
