im buying a bearing kit for the crank and rods. i took the old bearings to a toyota dealer and they said that the factory bearings are mark 2 and that i have to order them from them. problem is they want 2 times the amount that i can get standard one from another source. has anyone ran into this problem? or is the dealer full of shit?

that the crank and have it checked for wear and ask cam u use the factory bearing r if the need to shave the crank best bet

the crank is fine and the cam bearings are fine. i just want to replace the crank bearings and rod bearings. but the problem im having is the dealer says i cant use aftermark bearings. they are saying i have mark 2 bearings and that the factory used 5 different size bearings. mark 1-5 basicly has anyone uses standard bearings in there engine? and how was your oil pressure.
