400hp?

I want around 400 hp. Can I achieve this with stock internals and if so how long will it hold up?Any 400 hp. set-up suggestions?

Well, you could up the boost, get bigger injectors, bigger throttle body, change the wastegate, buy a clutch, rebuild the engine (if you don't, you'll soon be changing the head gasket), fix the shut off control on the fuel pump, get bigger exhaust and get an intercooler. You'll have all kinds of fun working on it too. Tight cramped spaces, taking off everything and remembering where it goes. It'd be great.

OR....You could build a 350 Chevy Engine for about the same price (or less) and drop it down in there. You'd make gobs of torque for tire shredding fun and it would be simple to work on. There is plenty of room for everything to clear and you wouldn't have any of the headaches.

I already know about the head gaskets.I blew one in my first mk3.I have a 3in. exhaust and intake etc. I know what mods I need to make but I really need to know if the stock internals can handle the increase in hp?Ive seen some clean 350 swaps but I wouldnt do it.Got a project Nova and project S10 waiting for 350s but never my Supra.

I think the internals could handle it, for a while. The weak links would be the rod bearings and of course the head gasket. The more you boost and crank it up, the more chance that parts will fail.

I dyno'd 843whp with eagle rods. On a fresh rebuild and proper tuning a stock bottom end should be fine around 400hp. Just prep the block and head and use a quality metal headgasket.

yeah ive been looking into metal head gaskets.i know a guy who has some 7m motors laying around so im going to pick one up and start building that one up.that way i can still drive the supra.
