help, no start after replacing HG

like title says...i just replace my head and headgasket, cranks but not start....cranks freely like no combustion happening...fuel pressure is at 25-30 psi key on....has spark but looks weak....any clues would help

Check your CPS alignment and the timing, CPS especially as it doesn't have to be off by much to keep the engine from running. While you're at it check the air-gap measurements on it, see what kind of shape it's really in.

Go through once more make sure everything is connected. I had the same problem until I realized i hadn't reconnected my MAF sensor lol.

Check the installation of cam position sensor.

i retrace everything(sensors/plugs/wires/vacuum), its all plug up and recheck timing and it was right on, readjusted cam sensor but where is the crank position sensor b/c i didnt remove crank pulley and lower timing cover at all b/c i just used my old timing belt

this is wat i got on my check engine light...

blink..blink.....blink..blink.....blink..blink.... .blink..blink..blink..blink

so is it code 22 and 24?

That's what it reads to me, water temp sensor and air temp sensor. Check your wiring for them, hope that's all it is, a loose couple of connectors.

well got that fix...it was my water temp sensor, the wire to the plug was corroded and i touch it and fell off...so i rewire it and now no codes...but still wont start...so i redid the timing and redo the cps as what the TRSM says and still no start...sounds like it wanted to start but then just goes back to crankin fast...well ima try to recheck everything again and see if it starts

well just did a compression test and theres no compression:mad:....so i did a leak down test and 100% no leaks...its weird theres no compression but theres no leak on any of the cylinder?

Maybe you have bad rings or bad valves...

ok but i did a cylinder leak down test and THERES NO LEAKS in TDC of compression stroke

skadaloz 04-26-2009 03:17 PM

i redid the compression test and still nothing so i redid the cylinder leak down test and what did you know...all the freakin intake valves are leaking...i did a valve lapping on it and put it back together and still leaking...guess ill have to do a valve job :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:
