The car that didn't moved for 7 years

Hi Guys,
My name is Rayner and im 16 years old now. I live in The Hague located in The Netherlands! A friend of mine had a supra parked in front of his house owned by his parents. As the wealth of the parents grew the supra became unused. And so the car stood still for 7 years! this is how we found her...

So we started to work on the supra! left door and boot were stuck like crazy! we started try opening the door Removerd the door strip and took a screwdriver, placed it between the front panel and tried to bend the front panel (which wil be replaed due to rust!) Door opened! next was the boot, flipped the rear seats down and removed the back interior panel so the lock became visible. Sprayed it down with some lube and tried to wiggle it around and ik opened! An enormous amount of water came free and I nearly got soaked

With strip

The Supra Started
we started to move the van next to the supra to try and jumpstart is. After a few atemps and playing with al the electric goodies in the car it was time to get serious! We wanted to move te supra so we replaced the rear tire so the moving would be a lot easier!
After jacking up the car it wasnt so hard to replace the tire 8)
After we moved the supra it was time for a wash up, a clean supra is a happy supra right?
After cleaning the supra we were ready to really get started, Refilled the engine oil and moved it next to the van for an other jumpstart.
Big moment! after trying 2 times we gave it one more shot and she started!. She was running smoooooth no anoying sounds just the sound of an engine reving.

Where did the supra go?

Nice find (for a front yard ornament). :naughty: The rust will be a bear to try and deal with (if you bother with it), but it's a decent driver regardless. If you haven't already done it, I'd recommend dumping everything out of the gas tank and letting it completely drain before refilling with good gas and some injector cleaner. 7 years of sitting plays hell with gas, and your injectors will probably reward you with better performance once they're cleaned up a little.

Let us know how it all works out once you've driven it for a while.

Hey, those are BBS wheels.... You can find similar ones on a Pontiac Bonniville here in the states. BBS made the wheels for GM to put on the Pontiac, so the lug cap will have the Pontiac logo instead of the BBS.

Rayner 04-27-2009 04:55 PM

Googled for those bbs rims but they arent bbs rims!

http://is.rely.net/2-149-35347-l-NPv...PPBPpVGvHw.jpg
Noticed that the bbs ones have studs, mine doesnt. Im guessing that its just a replica... but they stil look nice and old school tho:naughty:

stonehenge 04-27-2009 05:28 PM

BBS made 3 or 4 different styles of that rim over about ten years. Of course there are knock offs as well. I once worked for a wheel repair company, and to give anyone a heads up on those wheels.... If you damage them, they are difficult to repair, so if you curb one, don't be surprised if you are told that it can't be repaired.
