Default removing radiator

Sorry if I sound mechanically and mentally challenged, but removing the radiator (standard trans) . . . . top and bottom hoses, two clamps up top, . . . . what else is holding it in? I can't see anything more.

Just trying to avoid buying a new one. . . .

Thanks

Nothing, your need to unplug the AC fans. I can’t remember if there’s enough room to pull the rad out with the fans fixed to the rad. If it were an auto box then you would need to disconnect the feed and return hoses at the bottom of the rad. The radiator sits on two rubber cushions, sometimes the rubber sticks to the mounting bracket & rad, you may need to give it a gentle tug. Take care not to hit the large cooling fan blades.

Thanks Bill. As you say, it's probably stuck to the rubber mounts. Because the radiator is more fragile looking than most I've associated with before, I was afraid to give it too much heave-ho without checking someone who knows. I'll feel a lot better when it's out of harm's way.

Thanks also for the links . . . I really found the UK site's Guides excellent and particularly helpful for the timing belt sequence.

Those M8x1.25 threaded holes in my crank pulley were really clogged and rusted up, but now that the threads are chased, I'll thread in the new bolts tomorrow and make the hole spacing measurements we were talking about. Couldn't cut out the plate to begin a "crank holder" because I ran out of acetylene. What next? Good thing I have a truck to drive. The Supra will be late coming out of garage hibernation this year.
