Default Vacuum/air lines

I'm pulling things apart to replace my top engine oil seals, and all the tubing is lot's stiffer than the last time I did this (10 years ago . . . no surprise there). After too much struggling I'm about to just start slashing those large diameter hoses connecting the BOV. Before I do that

1. On any other car I'd just cut them off and just use regular heater hose to make replacements. Any problem doing that?

2. I ordered a vacuum tubing set from Hose Techniques. Anybody know if those are included in the kit? That would be nice.

3. My Turbo's been pretty sluggish. Is there a procedure to test that BOV while I have it off?

4. I'd appreciate suggestions on other things I might check/replace while I'm going in.

Thanks. Just needed a little hand-holding

# 1. I don’t see a problem with that Paul, providing they are the correct internal size to make a good tight fit.

# 3. Procedure for checking stock BOV SAAB Blow-Off-Valve
Quote “To check your BOV, remove your stock BOV and blow through the main two 3/4" hoses. If you can breath straight through it, your BOV is broken” Front page website Link

Cool

no bov hose in the kit . you should check the connector for the "3000" pipe it's common to crack on the underside

The BOV to the 3000 pipe is in the miscellaneous section at the bottom of the page in this Link if you need the diameter.

Cool

to be clear I mean the 3 inch connector for the 3000 pipe to the throttle body , hose techniques sells a replacement for that . it's common for that piece to get hard and crack causing you to loose boost
