Default Turbo Damage ????

In the process of doing some routine maintenance on a supra that I bought recently, I noticed damaged to the compression fins... how can this happen? It almost looks like an object got in its path. It seems to run clean and smooth on the shaft, but I assume that I should plan to replace, as I assume it is imbalanced and certainly not efficient. Have not pulled, so not sure of the condition of the turbine...

Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated.

If I am going to need replace anyway, should I plan to go to a T4? What other mods would I have to do at the same time.

Actually they are not bent, they edges are eatin up, so about 15-20% of the fins are missing and unbalanced... Actually I found a used one off of a JDM engine in great condition, paid I think $150 for it, so in the process of changing now, thanks anyway

terrible advice. Replace it or rebuild it as it appears you already are.
