Testing a Knock Sensor

Hi, I have an 87 NA and an 88 NA, both of which have the Knock Sensor Engine Code. On both cars the wiring is still intact, meaning from plug to ECU pin I have continuity. So I am wondering if anyone knows how to bench test a Knock Sensor to see if it's faulty.

Any ideas or links would be appreciated.

at 2000 rpm hit the intake the timing should change or to bench test when you strike it it should produce some electricty but very small....problem usually in the wiring, check wire to ground, the outside of the wire should be grounded.
