codes 14 and 22.
 

So im getting code 14 'ignition signal' and code 22 'water temp sensor signal'. What I would like to know is what items I am to test on my 7mge and how to test them. which sensor is water temp sensor?
 

can anyone tell me which one of these 3 sensors is the water temp sensor? Also if someone could tell me where to locate the water temp sensor circuit.. is that below/behind glove box?

Ok so I found this, and I found something that tells me the ECU where I test these at is behind the dashboard/glovebox. So the black connector under that large bolt seems to be the thing to test...

Ok I have a question now..On the diagram F11637 where I am to test the ECU voltage it kinda shows all the cables still plugged in... So am i supposed to just stick the terminals into the back of the plug where the wires come into ECU? Thanks for a reply guys

Ok I figured out how to test.. I used two paper clips, one in each of the terminals and got 4.9 volts with the water temp sensor unplugged and .8 when water temp sensor is plugged in. Also getting plenty of voltage from the +B terminal... So resistance of the water temp sensor is close to in range, I'm going to wait for it to cool down more and test again.... and all ECU terminals are putting out volts, so assuming that the sensor has the right amount of resistance I'm lost :( as to why it's throwing code 22.

Regarding code 14
So I'm getting a 10.89ohm's when testing the secondary coil and not getting any resistance reading when testing primary coil... So maybe I have to replace, unless I'm doing something wrong. Also when trying to inspect pickup coils I can't figure out how to get that connection off on the top of the distributor to test the G1 G2 and NE pickup coils... anyone know if I'm supposed to just pull really hard, or perhaps have to open dist to get the connector off?:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: :::http://www.cygnusx1.net/Supra/Librar.../IG/IG_009.gif

got a dif igniter, still no primary coil resistance!!
 

So I pulled another igniter/coil out of the pick-n-pull this week and tested primary and secondary and got the same results as on the original one on my car :(primary not getting a reading and secondary is) Has anyone tested this before? or perhaps someone willing to test this and see what results they get on their working car?

Check the setting on your multimeter and make sure the range will be able to test over 10K ohms of resistance, if its set to say 0-200 or 0-2000 then anything over wouldn't necessarily register, it would just show open. If your using a fluke digital or something that will auto adjust itself, then it should read from 0 to meg ohms. If your like me I have a cheapo chinese analog meter with a dial then you have to switch to a higher setting for the K ohms.
Ive had the water temp code before and it was a shorting connection because my plug was internally broken allowing the pins to touch. I fixed it by getting a fuel injector plug thats keyd the same and just spiced it in.
I have also changed my distributor for an open reading inside on the NE circuit. It was a while ago so I don't remember what led me to read it out.

thanks for the reply man, I have tried my meter on every possible setting it has!! and still getting '0' the only thing I can think I may have skipped is testing it while it was warm.. so I'll try that next.

I misread your post, I thought your secondary was open. What does it read when you touch the meter leads together? 0? what meter are you using? digital or analog?
