Newb from VA
 

Hi guys! just thought i would finally join the forum instead of searching through it!!
I have a 88 supra w/ 130xxx miles that did have a BHG as well as the "oil on top of spark plugs" problem.
im just a regular mechanic so doing things of this nature aren't really a problem, i just dont know all the gritty details!

Either way, i just REALLY wanted to say "Thank you" to IHateHacks for all his contributions to MY project as far as Tech info goes. I replaced my BHG and torqued it down to 82ft lbs, drove it for 854 miles, yanked off the intake/valve covers, checked the torque again, and its been 4,000 miles and not a single problem with the head gasket OR the pesky oil on the spark plugs problem!

anyway, thanks for all the help you guys had no idea you were providing to a complete stranger!!!

oh also want to say thanks for the thread about the "water holding wheelwell" on the driverside fix and the STUPID toyota car alarm fix! the car alarm still works but i can turn it off with the key in the ignition and i can actually START the car!!! WOOT!! thanks again!!
