Default Possible suspect in Turbo lag and vacuum problems

Alright, I have gone through most of the vacuum lines and haven't seen any that need replacing. Although I did stumble upon this little issue.

Im fairly new to turbos in general, could this be the problem that is causing the lack of boost? My other concern is if the turbine and wheel are in ok condition, seeing as how they can suck up some nasty stuff with the hole like that.

Thanks,
-Ryan

Ya, that needs to be fixed. Unmetered air can cause all sorts of issues.

Alright called the Dealership, to order it in they want $124.64. That to me seems way out of the ball park. I could just change out that system for an after market system, that probably is just a bit more then what they want for that stock hose. Anyone know of a good kit? Apex-i, HSK, ect..

I know for about $160 you can get a silicone tube to replace the accordion hose, it has all the barbs for stock routing of hoses.

Hope this helps, good luck.

Hey thanks for the link. Doesn't look too bad, have you used one before? I was wondering if that small leak is what is wreaking havoc on my boost? It doesn't seem to me like that small tear would really slow things down like that... But I am hoping that I am wrong and things will be up and running great after that replacement.

either way, thats something that needs to be fixed, and if it doesnt solve your problem you can be sure that's not your issue and move on to other things.

Well I haven't used one because I have a NA engine, but like CyFi6 said, it needs to be fixed!!

Good luck.
