Missfiring

My liitle baby has started missfiring pretty badly.

However, after I have been driving around for a while and the engine has got nice and hot the problem seems to gradually vanish.

I do have a few holes in the exhaust and was wondering if this could be the problem or is it more likely to be something like dirty injectors that start to clear as they heat up?

It can't be the spark plugs as I have just changed them.

Thanks all

It could be throwing a little to much fuel into the mixture from a bad o2 sensor, or your timing could be a little bumped in the wrong direction.

Check your codes as well, it may be somthing else.

Good luck.

Thanks for that. Now for the stupid question.

How do I check the codes?

There, start at page 23 and start reading, but if you so feel inclined to do so, read the entire book, it will never hurt to do so, lol.

Good luck.

Check in the spark plug valley to make sure theres no coolant or oil down there, sometimes the coolant lines on the throttle body drip a little and give misfires because the spark plug tube gets full of water.
