Pulling ICE and related parts and GOING ELECTRIC

I'm going Electric
The plan is to pull my internal combustion engine and install an electric motor and batteries.
I've thought about it for a few years and now I'm going to do it.
no need to reply telling me I'm crazy , most of you know that already and I hear enough of it in person .
It will work , It will be fun to Drive , It will NEVER NEED:
FUEL/oil/plugs/filters/gaskets/ anywhere near as much maintenance as it does now .
electric motors are inherently powerful and efficient. Imagine
" you may say that I'm a dreamer , but I'm not the only one"

Good for you!!!

I'd be fascinated to see how you get on and what sort of performance you get out of it.

What sort of motor are you using?

Keep us posted with lots of piccies.

Nice, I have considered this, but I like my ol' 7M to much. I plan to do this to my lowrider though, I found a company that sells transmission adapters for a electric motor. The rest is pie, a few resistors, regulators, and adjustable transistors and it will work.

The only thing that is holding me back is the current battery technology, sure you can make a quick ars electric vehicle, but then your range goes down.

The was a car I saw recently that is called the Tesla Roadster, from Tesla Motors, its a electric car based on the Lotus chassis. They are using killer battery's, and a light car and they achieved over 200 miles to one charge, of coarse it had a $110,000 price tag.

thats wild and i defintly support the idea cause even though people think electric cars are slow there is one that can beat a ferrari and plus fuck using gas

If you're going to use common lead-acid batteries, you are a fool. At least get a BUNCH of rechargable lithiums, like the future Prius will use.

30 mile range.

Sorry not for me ;(

Wish you luck, lots of pics and make a build thread

Im going electric as soon as possible. instant torque means goodbye ICE.

ive seen the videos below and im definitely interested, the question is when will they come up with a conversion kit for a 5-spd 200hp Supra? What motor will work best AC or DC?
