Exhaust + Oil Question

First off ill start with the known problem, Leak in top right of radiator. Holds coolant for most part, sometimes spits it out into overflow onto intercooler and i have to add more to overflow. Radiator stays full however.

~~Checked oil today after running car back from work noticed small bubbles on backside of dip stick. Does this mean anything?

~~Also put on a new exhaust and inside of exhaust tip turned black, this normal or am i running very rich? Something else maybe?

Not a mechanic heh, appreciate the responses.

I have no idea on the rat problem, get that fixed for sure though!!

I'm not so sure about the oil thing, but I would keep an eye on it. I have had little oil bubbles appear on the dipstick on my truck, I have never had any problems, though its not nearly the same engine but its a thought that came to mind.

As for the exhaust, I would assume its normal for any exhaust system to turn black on the inside, I have seen plenty of systems including my own that turned black on the inside. It is possible that you are running a little rich, but I would think you would notice it forming small puffs behind your car when your gettin it, and you might see black soot forming on your bumper.

Hope this helped.

By the way, how did the engine painting go?

good i posted in there the final pics and stuff have not had time since then to take it apart to paint more... It all seemed to hold up.

I do not have any black soot forming on bumper and vry occasionally i will see some black smoke. Mostly i can just smell the gas.

I thought the black in the exhaust was normal but saw another car today whose exhaust was pretty damn clean. Newer car though ;)

Yea, it's possible that the newer car had multiple cats, that would really clean the exhaust and keep the pipes clean.
