you need to read your error codes
http://www.toyota-supra.info/forums/index....ct=ST&f=2&t=333
start with the FAQ's

they have a nice little module out there that you just hook right into your diagnostic connector and it will flash the check engine llight on the dash for you so you can count out the codes, comes with a book which will explain everything to you

suprra_girl 06-23-2005 07:58 AM

hmmmm i'm guessing you will be getting code 31 ;)

too much powah :P
too much flow lol

that's what happens when you go and put a nice free flow exhaust on there ;)

what boost are you running?
try turning it down a psi or two

and also check all of your intercooler piping for cracks/leaks etc

oh i see .....you mean it's the guys first fuel cut off

kinda sucks when you are going 50 and the engine cuts out for a 1/2 second huh ? try it at 100
well thats just toyota's way of looking out for you .

when i took my car to the dyno last summer they don't let you drive the car .. so i figured "surely this guy has felt FCO before and knows what it is "
was he hadn't and he insisted something was wrong with my car . lucky it was my last of three runs . a few other dorks were standing around and agreed with the tech that something was wrong . i think the inline 6 threw em too infact he said he's never done a car like this before ..

reminds me of the ads i see in the paper sometimes "toyota supra for sale V-6 engine .....

KingDiamond 06-23-2005 11:50 AM

you mean its not a v-6 , i thought all the v-6 spark plugs and wires were all lined up in one row along the top of the head. :D

suprra_girl 06-23-2005 11:50 AM

lmfao

yea ppl that haven't felt our fuel cut before do shyte themselves LOL
and omg :o he was a tech... don't ever take ur car to him for work eh :P

altho... i would be funny to watch him fix it haha... just as long as you weren't paying for labour for him to find the problem lol
when he rings and says.. it's all fixed... drop ya glovebox and see if theres a dirty fcd in there haha

oh and i've seen those ads soooooo many times as well... one dude i rang up.. he had the gall to say.. "if you know anything about cars you will know it's a v6"
i was like wtf
i asked him... which way do the spark plugs run... 3 then 3 or 1-6 in a straight line
he goes... they go in a straight line to 6
you would think by his own statement he could figure out it was a I6 LOL
