Weird noise from rear
 

when i finally pulled my supra outta the garage, where it had been sitting for about a year. I noticed a new noise. Its hard to describe but its kind of a light grinding noise but its loud, basically all the time. it sounds like its coming from the rear, maybe the differental? I've been driving it like this for about 4 months. it has no impact on performance or driveability, its just an annoying sound. Its gotten to the point where i tune it out and dont really hear it till somebody asks me "what the hell is that!". i havent really done any checking cause its like 10 degrees outside and the garage is now occupied with another project. any ideas? thanks

check the oil level in the rearend. take out the fill bolt, stick your finger in the hole. the oil should be like an eighth of an inch below the hole. other than that, just get under the car and look around.
