Default Heater problem!

My heater recently stopped working and i've pinpointed the problem to this valve.

I think the vacuum solenoid is broken or the fuse is blown? Can anyone tell my how to fix it.
Thanks in advance.

Do you have vacuum at that line on top of the valve with the heater on?
Does your heater blower work?
Do you get power and ground at the vsv under that valve with the heater on?
Does your engine warm up to normal operating temperature?
Ray.

There is no vacuum at the top of the valve with the heater on. The heater works perfectly when i bypass the vsv by plugging the vacuum hose directly onto the valve. The car does warm up to normal operating temperature. I'm going to check the power and ground right now to see if the solenoids bad or if its getting no power.

The VSV only shuts water off to the heatert core when the temp is set to 65*. So........... plug the vacuum directly to the water valve and forgert about it.

Trust me, I know these cars like the back of my hand !
