thats what i was thinking and i checked it the level was good. and i know i dont have any leaking. so i guess its just a bad pump.

you can always try bleeding it too
i did that to my friend's grand prix
it was making that humming , and steering being stiff
even tho, it was full in the reservoir

so i bleeded it while adding more fluid and it was fine after
