Mkiii

I have an mkiii that seems to have an endless supply of problems...So I have some questions i was wondering if someone could help me answer.

First when I rev the engine it sounds like there is water splashing around in my engine compartment. There is no water in my oil pan so I'm thinking its not a blown head gasket. If anyone could help with that, thank you.
Also my idle is at 1500 rpms. Is that normal for Supras? I'm thinking its kinda high. Does anyone know what the problem is or how to fix it?
My oil pressure gauge doesnt work either. I bought a new sensor and that didn't fix the problem, i checked the lines going to the sensor and they were all good and getting electricity. Is it my gauge that is broken? If so how expensive are new gauges?
Finally I love this car its very very fun to drive. :)

For the high RPM try disconnecting the linkage to the throttle body and see how it idles, if it goes down to between 750-800 then you will need to loosen the jamnut on the linkage and turn it out maybe 2 or 3 turns. If it stays then check the throttle stop screw on the bottom in the back of the throttle body. You will have to check your TPS adjustment too right here,
MK3 TSRM On-Line
and also the next page for electrical reading.
My oil pressure guage crapped out years ago, several junkyard ones havn't worked either. Im going to check the dealer in the states in december while on vacation cause the one here can't get it. The other option is to go aftermarket with either a pod or mount or under the dash somewhere.

Several things can cause high idle. vacuum leak, check all vac hoses. intake manifold gasket leak. spray brake cleaner along the attach point gaskets.

ISC motor falty.

Its basically getting the trapped air in the system due to faulty design,

So put ur car on an incline or jack the front end,
Open the rad cap,
Start the car, put the heat on blast,
Air should come out, keep filling the radiator up,
Repeat until no more air comes out,
And clean up the mess that you jus did,
Now when you take it out for a test drive it might smoke a lot cuz of all those coolant that dripped on ur radiator
