just did a tune up on my 87 supra n/a 5 speed and now it idles between 2000 and 2500 rpm's. It ran fine all day untill i left later that night to go to work it started acting up in the parking lot by idline real low. after work it idled low still and than gradually started idlingnhigher and higher. i put new plugs in (bosch platinum 2) new wires, cap, rotor, and valve cover gaskets and gromets( was leaking oil from them) i ran the engine diagnositcs tonight and got 22, 24, 32, and 51. ran this before and nothing ever showed y would they come up now?? I've doubled checked all vaccum lines and electrical connections please help

well.. i would reset your ecu for a start... pull out the main & efi fuse for bout 30 seconds

22 = water temp sensor
24 = air intake temp sensor
32 = afm signal
51 = tps

did you unplug all of these sensors when you did your plugs etc?

try this first... and let us know how you get on :)

Supra girl i unpugged the efi and main fuses and it still does it how do i replace the afm and air intake temp sensor?? are they on or in the intake hoses?

i would say that the sensors are all fine

they only threw a code because you unplugged them with the battery connected

i would take a look at the tps tho.. do a search i've posted a link somewhere to a page to set the tps

as said above... there is a link on the forum somewhere on how to set the tps

on the throttlebody there should be a little black round thing on the side of it... this is your tps... make sure the plug is firmly connected :)

another way to reset the ecu is to disconnect the battery but remember you lose your clock & radio settings :)
