Targa top?
hey i was just wandering if it was possible to convert a non targa to targa w/o re stablizing and reinforceing, if not u can just drop a sunroofr on right....?
|
Sounds like you bought the car before you knew what you wanted.
Put your cheese into the engine first. The targas have added reinforcements that the coupe doesn't. So you would have alot more flex once you start flucking with its structural integrity. |
You should just put a sunroof.

thnx guys thats what i figured just wanted to make sure i was right, and as far as me buyin my car :P first car i eva bought, seen it and fell in love didnt even have an idea of how badass it can get i am totaly content on my buy, stole my 87 n/a with 80k miles on it off him for 900, 50 of it was a payoff to write it off as gift :P

i wouldnt install a sun roof either though... ive just heard aftermarket ones tend to leak
|
Ya if you wanted that noise you should have searched longer.
If you were content with your buy you wouldn't be trying to frankenstien it. Ya follow. Live with it how it is because I promise you. You have problems that you have yet to learn about. These cars drive sweet. Even when they have non-showing issues. Good Luck. You may just be a supraholic if you can handle the highs and the lowes. |

i had recently read on supramania that on the older supras the sun roofs were actually an option from the dealership, not the factory. this means the original owners wanted a sun roof, the dealership sends out for the supra, then the dealership installs the sun roof... on the later mk3s the came from the factory with sun roofs

Yeah they also had the exact same sunroof on Hondas, thats where I got mine from when my original seal went bad. I put it in my suitcase and brought it back here with me and it seals great, this next vacation Im getting the sunroof motor cause mine needs a slight push on the sunroof to get it going.
