could be the regulator since you said it was blowing black smoke
have you checked the sparkplugs? coilpack
maybe sum of them are fouled and youre not burning the fuel anymore

Any check engine codes?

BTW the ECU should be one of the last things you check IMO.

yea got it checked. its not the right code

Too rich running will cause the cat converter to fail. Perhaps you have a plugged exhaust, which will do what your car does.

I don't think your ride would roll if you had an ecu problem.

My car will start and idle but it sounds like a loping v8.
The timing is dead on balls acurate 100% no doubt.
I replaced the afm. Then replaced it again.

My ecu has to be fragged.

Upon test driving I blew a coolant line ond it fogged the cab through the
air vents and it's been absolute filth sinse that day.

Does anyone know anyone trust worthy to send this thing to for service.
Or even better does any one have a 90/91/92 manual tranny ecu they know works and wants to sell??

Supramacist is it N/A or Turbo?

supramacist 11-11-2007 09:06 PM

Non turbo.

Wich is the problem. Ecu's for turbo's are everywhere.
