Turboing a 7MGE

hi can anyone tell me what i need exactly inorder to run a 7mge with turbo without problems, ok i already have a stock ct-26 turbo, exhaust manifold, downpipe, intercooler and piping plus 550cc injectors but from other forums it seems that i am missing alot more parts sow can anybody help??

Technically you should be able to bolt that on and it should work... but the ecu in the car isnt tuned for it so i dont no what you would do about that, your going to need to find some way to get oil to the turbo and water, iv heard of poeple leaving the water hole unhooked to compensate for no water, iv been told you need a cam positioning sensor but no one will tell me why, and if your going to try to bolt this on i would recommend a boost gauge and maybe a controller, you could always ask a local shop what is need to boost it a tuner shop should know... dont just bolt it on because i said it would work i would ask some shops around what is required.

yeah but is other forums ive red that ppl upgrade theyre fuel pump, they get a new oil cooler, replace oil pan with 7mgte oil pan, replace upper intake with throttlebody with a 7mgte upper intake with throttlebody nd lots more stuff and also better not to go over 8psi

Well the fuel pump was upgraded for more boost but you really cant boost all that high with an na motor, but it still a good upgrade, the oil cooler was installed i dont think the na models have them but the oil cooler was installed to get oil to the turbo, and the 7mgte oil pan im asuming has a place for the oil return line, and the upper throttlebody to a 7mgte uper should be a big deal, you might need a new coil pack or somthing if you look at the pictures of the motor it has the 3000 pipe and a little black looking pack thing you might need that (thats what im refuring to as a coilpack im probly wrong) and 8psi is probly has high as you want to go and your going to need to use a 93 octane fuel or high octane fuel.

okay so what doyou recommend for me to do

You dont need a CPS or a coil pack if you dont plan to use a 7M-GTE computer, and if you do then why not pony up $1,000 bucks for a complete JDM 7M-GTE with the computer, because the NA has a diffrent ignition system. I'm almost ready to finish my NA-T project, all I need is a BOV and to mount my intercooler. I was lucky enough to get a JDM engine in my car and the NA block had the oil retern for a turbo, it was located below the oil filter, so all I had to do is tap into the oil pressure sending unit. As for the water line there is a small line on the termastat houseing that goes from the top to the bottom outside of the housing, thats where I'm tapping the water from.

I've beent trying to get all the info I can about the injectors and the resistance running to them, becasue the way I see it, it might be possible to "fool" the NA ECU into sending more volts thru the injectors by modifying the resistance to the injectors. This way I can make a NA-T keeping the NA ECU. Hope this helped, good luck.

Did I read that right
"They put the oil cooler was installed to get oil to the turbo"
You gotta be kidding me

And a the 7mgte oil pan has the return? Since when

Ok the oil cooler is pretty self explainatory, it cools the oil
Kinda like how the radiator cools the water,
And an intercooler cools the air, so you get my point

You need to find a oil feed for the turbo, since I would assume the same location is not tapped on the na block

And the 7mgte oil pan does not have a tap for the return
Maybe bigger for more oil capacity

The return line is tapped into the block, which isn't on the na block,

With the coilpack you also need to get an igniter, since they're a completely diffrent ignition system from the na

And there's a reason why the turbo is watercooled, what that reason is, idk and don't care ,I got a diffrent setup now, but they designed it that way, and I can only assume it will work more efficiently and properly if you keep it that way
Get a thermostat housing from the deal that's for a 7mgte

If I miss sumthing, or mispelled, my fault
Im at work right now

thats why i sed thats what others posted on other forums

Unless you get a coil pack, igniter, CPS the 7M-GTE therm housing wont work, the distributer is in the way of the water lines to the turbo.

As for the oil return, on my NA block there is a plate blocking off the return hole for a turbo, but no tapped hole for the oil feed.
