My M/T NA 88 MK3 had its gasket replaced, got a new thermostat. The order of events was gasket replace, had a leak in a rad hose, didn't realize, put in some radiator stop leak I bought from a 7/11 store, It helped for a day, next day I filled my radiator up before I started to drive it for the day (50/50 mix), Coolant was spit from the radiator into my reserve tank, the tank will here and there have some of the leak stop stuff in it (The leak stuff is about 4 months old in there), took it into the shop, shop said leaky hose, fixed that, coolant would no longer drip down, nor would AS MUCH of it back up into the reserve tank, now ONLY if I drive it real hard it will push it all into the reserve tank and start to over heat. Why is this happening, I don't see the stop leak stuff coming up any longer, the car won't over heat and push the coolant to the reserve tank unless I abuse the rpms at every light.

Any reason why it would do this? No more leaks, just doing things backwards. However I can smell the coolant sweet smell when I drive it a mile. Stop at my destination and come back to find no leaks on the ground.
