no start no voltage

Here is where I am at. I have a no start condition. I have dropped the fuel tank to change the fuel pump. While the tank was down I figured I would check voltage w/ the key on. I get no reading. I mistakenly grounded the positive terminal while putting in the battery a while back, since then it has not started. Is there a circuit breaker, in-line fuse or something I could check? Help I am at my wits end. Thanks for any help.

check all your fuses first.... and replace all the broken fuse first. after replace all the problem fuse. try to put the key on n turn till the ign. on but dont start the car. and see if it work. if it work then try to start the car. if the car crank and wouldnt start or it start and die in awhile due to a brakelight comes on the cluster. you need to replace your alternater. cause thats what i do on my way back in the day when i first got my mk2. hope this work. want to know more email me @ rare-rider@hotmail.com and i give you more info. where to check n do...

If it wont crank or no power to the rest of car then you have burnt your fusable links in the fuse box..
