85 Mk2 transmission swap
 

Hello, i currently have an 85 mk2 in auto, as obvious; it's pretty dull and im looking to swap in a 5 speed tranny, only i'd really love to know every single component i would need (say i get it from a pick n pull) id want to be sure i have everything to make the swap a success, thank you!

I am not so sure that you are going to find too many salvage yards that still have cars from the 80's. But, you will need
the trans and clutch assembly
shifter and linkage
the pedal and all associated hardware
The trans mount might be different so grab it just in case
You'll also need a wiring diagram to deal with the trans computer that is currently interlaced with the ECU and speed control computer
The starter wire also goes through the tranny and that will have to be corrected.
