Back firing

I'm the new owner of a 1985 supra 5mg 2.8l. 74,000 m Car was sitting for a while put it on the road about a month ago. Getting back firing occasionally. Do you think changing plugs may help. I know there a couple pin holes in front exhaust pipe.(haven't changed yet. Please help.
Also looking for black moulding for bottom bellow doors on both sides.

Appreciate any help someone can give me.

Posted in the wrong section. If you're not sure your in the right section refer to the description of that section seen in the main directory and/or any stickies at the top of the group. The Questions and Comments section is for issues with the site, not cars.

Thread moved.

check your ignition timing:

if its been off the road a while it would be best to replace your fuel filter, and check your injectors and fuel rail for leaks.

good luck!

i think you need the rocker panel moulding. contact your local toyota dealership and see if they are still being made, about half the mouldings are discontinued...
