7mge trouble

hello everyone im new to the forum i suck at spelling
and im new to supras i have an 85
p type digital dash black w/blk/grey interior cloth
under the hood is a 7mge from a 88 toyota crown rhd 80,000 km
swap was done by past owner wiring was obviously to much
rhd cut up harness in a lhd car was way to short and auto ecu :umno:
so i got a 88 supra harness , ecu , afm , from junkyard
started reading diagrams and figuring it out
btw i had igniter n coil with the motor so i didnt get it
had to straight wire it because someone cut wires on harness at junkyard
(im not to great at wiring but i can solder)

did everything with help from different forums
kindof got mixed up between youtube and supracharged
but i had it running , for a bit

seemed like a bad tps idle up then fuel cut every 5 seconds
1,000 - 2,000 cut
marking on tps showed it had never been touched
anyways drove it quickly to see what else it needs
and fuel would cut out on and off had to stop once wouldnt start
but made it home eventually

after that wouldnt run... primes quick fires up than dies
no time to prime same thing .
full throttle fire up to 1,500 than dies quicker
new battery clean grounds , terminals . new fuel filter everything
throttle doesnt seem to do anything unless 80% + pressed in but still dies
sometimes fires rough like a misfire on start but dies again
noticed COR doesnt click but maby because i hooked FP straight to ignition
harness ????
seems like something is cutting injector pulse from ecu or
pump cutting after start

i hear a bad ecu means no check engine light at all???....
i jump the terminals and no code just keeps flashing

12v to ecu
cleaned iscv, throttle body
vaccuums all good
timing belt good marks lined up
cap and rotor new . plugs denso .040 gap wires clean no carbon
no coolant in oil ,oil in coolant no smoke .
compression all there
AFM taken apart and inspected no bends or burns or corrosion

i have a couple questions and maby you guys have a couple answers
to why it doesnt run anymore

1 : C1 connector where does white and white w/ black stripe go to ???
2 : B1 connector yellow FP not required to be wired to COR??? ,
m-rel and batt allso wired to COR or to igntion harness ???

3 : Coil wires getting hot melted tape while running didnt touch ???
4 : 5m body harness to AFM w/ check connector should they be removed
allong with neutral start switch and start switch ??

5 : on my supra i have the old neutral start and start switch wires wired to
the starter and trans should i use ones on 7m harness????

6 : what is the name of the tan sensor on thermostat housing
is it temp sensor or the top one i replaced the top one but bottom one jiggles and is cracked. sender is fine .. is it time switch for cold start
because unplugging it makes no difference when trying to run .

7 : jumping te1 and e1 and forgetting jumper in all night and trying to start
next day when problem started is that where i messed up

8 : only two seperate ring terminals for ecu ground ???
1 with browns and other with whites going to same place
under intake ???? am i missing a ground i cant seem to find one and i keep seeing something about cylinder 6 having one on head :dunno:
theres one by the igniter n coil blue two wired squared clip grounded

9 : 85 supra fuse and relay box under hood : does anyone have a diagram
or pin chart so i can see what everythings for because it seems like a circuit board not like fwd celicas were its straight plugs under relays

anyways any help would be much apreciated
just had it running been wiring all last week
i have pics of wiring / hack job
but i have to transfer them to make them work
allso a video but no sound ill just make another

i love toyotas im restoring an 86 celica thats a whole other story
im a mechanic . i just picked up this car a month ago
so im figuring things out and for the most part
staring at diagrams i got it

so i can understand technical mechanic
language and i can use a multimeter .. and im 21 so give me a break
if i came on strong or anything .
this is to advanced for me im use to celicas
everything is in the engine harness

thanks!!

You're going to have a little trouble with this as it's a swap. Nonetheless, it may be better posted in the MKIII forum. I recommend you verify the MKII/MKIII interwiring and then focus on the 7M troubleshooting in the MKIII section.

If you would like I'll be happy to move your thread to the MKIII section, just let me know.
