transmission sensor

5mge there is a sensor on my transmission on the upper left side one is YELLOW the other is WHITE/BLUE-LINE i know where the yellow wire goes its the white one im stuck on it could be the reason i cant start the car i looked at the wiring if need be ill post a pic seems to help
