Hey everybody, Im a new owner of an 84 supra

5mge, 5 speed

315,000km :ghey:

Now, this old girl is losing power, but still runs strong, head gasket is going.

Im about to renew the front end :)

Now, down to the point, What do i do to get some decent reliable N/A power out of this

Of course ive got intake and exhaust, but where do i source the parts?

I want to port and polish the head and send the cam in for a regrind, will this yield any results?

What should i do Toyota entutiasts... enlighten this poor noob.

Cost is no concern..

if cost is no concern, dont use the old cams again, buy some new aftermarket ones.
and what is your intake? because if you have just put on a cone k&n and its sitting in the engine bay its not helping.

you could also look into some headers its easy bolt on power.

not a power boost, but i would reccomend a good rad. and oil cooler.

maby a lightweight flywheel...

think of it this way, to gain power you need to add 2 things fuel and air.

buy some mandrel bent 3inch piping for your intake with minimal bends leading to your front bumper, then throw in some 210cc injectors from a 4age corrolla.

Well I Guess cost is a concern now... lol, Im just using stock cams.

So far this is what i have done.

Went to pick n pull and got a 5mge head ( still gotta drive my car as it is a dd, getting 2 weeks off of work soon)

The head getting ported and polished then me and my brother are going fat port the exhaust and match it to the aftermarket headers plus headwrap.

2.5 inch straight pipe to the back, eventually magnaflow muffler.

Custom intake, check, ill throw a k&n on the end.

These injectors you seak of, will the the stock ecu be able to trim them without aftermarket assistance?

im pretty sure they are the largest you can get without assistance, and can will work with your clips i think.
more research will be required.
