Default Need help with value of 1983

Hello,

I am writing for a neighbor friend of mine who has a 1983 Supra, white loaded with everything except a sunroof. The car has 90k on the clock and has some minor issues.

- A/C does not work... compressor needs replacement
- some wiring gremlins, no hazards, antenna for the radio is busted
- engine has leaks, but probably just new seals.

This guy is 75 years old and has had the car since new. As you can see from the mileage, he barely drives the thing and it has never been to the shop before. He just installed new tires but otherwise it needs very little work.

I have no idea what the value of this car would be. Can you please help? I was guessing aroun $3-4,000. Does that sound about right?

Thanks in advance.

Bryan

PS. Here is what I own just so you know that I am a car guy. Enjoy

Default update

This was an old post from above that I just cut and pasted in a new thread. He is finally ready to sell. Based on what I have seen this may be worth around 2 or even 1,500.. Does that sound right?

Thanks,
Bryan

if its not rusty with oil leaks, and few wiring issues i would say 2-3k in vancouver. depends what is leaking its gona be work money, or lots and lots of oil.

Default I may buy it

The car is absolutely beautiful. It looks like it has never even seen the sun.. Or rain for that matter. Just needs some love under the hood due to leaking. Otherwise, I think I may be able to buy for $1,500... If I put 800 into it then I can't see why this wouldn't be worth more than $3000. Maybe I can make a few bucks out of the deal.

Pictures coming next. Thanks for the help.

Bryan
