how to get rid of one wheel spin

just want to know how to stop one wheel from spinning.

You'd need a limited slip differential (LSD).

JR MK2 SUPRA 02-13-2010 09:27 PM

this is my frist supra and im learning where can i find limited slip differential lsd?

cre 02-13-2010 09:33 PM

It's not just a Supra thing. ;)

Do a search of the MKII section and you'll find the details of what to look for and what other vehicles have compatible differentials. Try searching terms such as "diff", "differential" and "limited slip".

Here are a couple threads with relevant info:

You may find more specific information at www.celicasupra.com... it's a higher traffic MKI and MKII Supra site.

so i must be able to go to lordco and orde rsome part to permanently lock my rear diff?????

cre 02-26-2010 04:46 PM

You don't want a locked diff unless you're only planning on driving in straight lines. When the car turns the outside wheels spin at a different rate than the inside wheels. Lock the diff and one will be skipping as it's not moving at the same rate as the other and you'll loose traction... in a turn... it's a crap move on anything but a "track only" car.

Go the distance and find a compatible LSD like all those folks before you. ;)

ive actually already got 3
and i wasnt really asking for an opinion just if it was an available part or not....
thanks!

cre 02-26-2010 11:59 PM

You'd just have the internals welded to lock it. I don't know of any type of kits to do the job.

And you're posting in a public forum... expect opinions. ;)
