This is a freewheeling motor which means that there is a very minimum chance that there is any valve damage. Go ahead and install the belt, it's not that difficult.

5MGE's are non-interference engines, so unless you were spinning 6500rpms at the time the belt broke, you're more than likely just fine.
btw, it's head, singular, not plural. we only have one
