Making a cut-off stock shifter has its drawbacks. There is no rubber insulation, which increases the heat and vibration felt in the shift knob. It takes more effort to shift especially in a high mile transmission that’s notchy when cold. Then there is the time and effort to make one. I went with an after market tuner part designed to do the job in a predictable way. Although having $250 would buy 25 12 packs of Newcastle Brown Ale here.
