I'm respraying my car at the moment. My mouldings got colour coded to the paint today. A few of them were begining to go opaque. I was a bit concerned how they would look but they came out awesome. As long as your mouldings arent splitting, you could take that approach. Might be cheaper. I just came back from the workshop so i cant show you a pic of how they look. I'll take a pic if i'm in tomorrow. They definately make the car look more modern.
