Ive drifted in all kinds of supras. i even went to some touge places around here. all u need is an adjustable LSD or 2-way LSD, get some good suspensions, weak, thick stock tires for the back, and try to make ur car as light as possible, if u wanna learn the technique in how to drift, u should watch the movie "The Drift Bible" it will teach u alot of stuff...Good Luck

hey man i went 2 tha atlanta d1 grand prix(formula D) it was awsome dude. i saw tha supra and it was a BAD ASS drifte rbut i wouldnt drift it cuz iza sux and its 2 damn fay tho it has plenty o power...dont drift it or race it at big industries cuz can u say crash and burn :ph34r: :( i learned tha hard way :o :o ohh shit!!!

supra's are an easy car to drift in my opion,

currently i am driving an 84 celica gt, it has a 5 link in it with a lsd out of a hylux, the w58 tranny and a 2.5l sohc 4 banger... making about 100 horse...

in the rain this car is like driving a high power sports car...


and weight effects this car dur to not enough power to rip the back tires lose with more then 2 people. in the dry....


like said earilyer, it's about how you aproach the corner...

i deliver pizza and belive me when you take the same corner 30 times a day you learn aproach and departure presidures, along with down shifting before entering corners.

when it rains and im out in the rich neiborhoods that have those circile things in the 4 way stops, drop to first grab second and slide around it once or twice before heading back to work....



any ways i gotta stop blabbing...

hey have you tryed it on wet pave ment or gravel?... if u do it on gravel make sure there isn't any ditches that drop down a good 4ft around i had a bad expearince with that the other night ;) i survived tough...

MK2's and the celicas from those years are easy to drift. I love my MK2 for that reason. The MK3's (and I presume the MK4's) are a lot tougher -- but still doable

mk4's with a good suspension setup and a lot of weight shaving will get the job done...the reason an mk4 and mk3 is hard to initially drift is because of its stock weight...taking out the rear seats is a good start, as well as all the amenities you dont need like a/c, radio...some bum tried to sell me a 240sx drift car with a full radio setup and a body kit, but not suspension or anything related to drifting....i obviously dint but it...i might as well start drifting my supra... but i wanna get the motor tuned properly before hand...dont wanna mess anything up

i believe in you on that. i pretty its a good setup that you have. same on here. hardly use E-brake... i got a 85 mk2 supra turbo.... pretty much i do double clutch n double gas..... n i hardly use E-Brake... i believe for what you said. peace out.

i have a friend who got a mk4 n/a turbo... oh men... its not that good in drifting... to me it seens like the body is to heavy or something.. or maybe not lots of hp... or something is wrong with it... so i havent experience with the mk4 so dont know much. but like i said. i have a friend with the 95 supra n/a turbo.... after drifting the mk4 i didnt like it as much as my mk2 turbo. so i think the mk4 is taugher then the mk2..... n now i working on my 76 toyota celica rwd. swapt in the 7mgte. on it... n still learn how to drift on the old scoop celica....

I've never driven a mk4, but my friends say that the stock mk3 suspension is way better for drifting than the mk4 cuz the mk3 suspension likes to throw out the rear end (just get on a dirt road at a moderate speed and take some easy turns; you'll feel it, and if you're like me you'll love it!).
About weight, how much do the rear seats weigh? With a full tank, my mk3 weighs over 3700 pounds (certified scale). (It weighs more than my mom's mercury sable!). How much weight can i take out, and how much will it help my drifting?
