limited slip differtial you get find out more by going to howstuffworks.com they have a very good write up on it

it allow power transfer between the rear wheels
so power goes to the one wheels needs it
to compensate for spin, or loss of traction
ideal for drag racing, so u avoid a peg-leg burnout (one wheel burnout)
so u wont lay eggs on the line

not ideal for drifting, cuz it will balance the car out , reducing angle and cutting your drift short

pple weld thier diff for drifting so both wheels spins its easier to control the drift this way
but welding the diff is not advisable for street driven cars
unless u dont mind a wheel hop everytime u try to park ur car into a parking space

but im still doing my reasearch on em, i might b wrong in sum points
but this is the best of my knowledge
if im wrong, i already stand/sit corrected

but i belive thats diffent types of diff. for diffent applications

Lol what am i hearing? lol a lsd is what they use they dont weld things togeather to keep the back wheels spinning that breaks stuff ask anyone they will tell you it is the lsd that makes the car drift its more the way you do it when one tire spinns the back end isnt going to do anything its when the second tire startes to spin that when you get the action you want

if you read that forum they talk about finding a car with a lsd so they can drift you dont weld you get a lsd.

ok my mistake, i should really stop posting while almost sleeping

but pple do weld em together, i've seen it b4
and i was going with sumbody elses opinion

he's a good drifter, the only one that i've actually seen to drift around a car
he did it around this guy's homo-miata, that dude almost crapped his pants

but the told me he ddnt like having the lsd, cuz it balances the car
he'll rather have both wheels jus spinning simultanously

and the welded lsd, were for drag cars, they said it works,
who am i to argue with em, im still learning
and plus, he has a 10.5 car so yea,

supraman121 12-09-2006 05:42 AM

welding is for more like the poeple that dont want to go out and by a lsd ya welding works but it breaks stuff in the long run its always cheaper to do it right the first time then the second time lol

Supra2NR 12-10-2006 05:42 PM

oh well,
now i know more, thnx bro

but i got enuff problems already lol
to even deal with this things right now
