I have had battery problems on my TT and now the standard stereo is locked. Is there a way of unlocking it myself, I just know that Toyota will charge an arm and a leg for it.
thanks |
I recently inherited a 1989 Supra Turbo. The radio does not power on, the fuse is good, can this be due to the theft prevention? Is there anything I can do without some code other than to take it to the dealer?

rude1978: if you are lucky you might have the owners manual for your car... have a flick through it and see if the code has been written down somewhere... have a look anywhere in the car thinking if it was you where you would write it down
if no luck with owners manuals for it... try your local toyota dealer all you should need is the serial number of the stereo and your make and model of car i believe... they should be able to just give you the pin and instructions on how to unlock it bhf56a: i don't remember any theft deterrent on mk3's i would actually pull the radio and i bet you'll find shoddy wiring... power wire may have just pulled apart or something or the stereo may be fried.. pull it and check it out |
