Default MkIII rear end ?'s

Hi,
I'm looking into using a mkIII rear subframe/suspension/diff setup on an AWD GMC Jimmy I'm working on.

I've read a post somewhere saying the track width (flange to flange) is 62" for the mkIII, and a spec sheet for the mkIV saying 60". Can anyone verify either of this info?

Second question, since the center section is toyota 8", does the v6 solid axle pinion fit inside the diff casing? I need to run 3.73/4.10/4.56 sets to match the front, and these are all popular pickup gears. I know the carriers fit the solid axles but not work the other way around.

C) It seems there are 2 types of limited slip diffs available, the clutch pack and the torsen. This won't see any off-roading, just street/rain/snow. Powerwise, no more than 400hp at crank from a genIII 5.3. Which is more street friendly, but still reliable?

4) If all this checks out, any good places to look for one in southern Ontario/Nothern States close to the border?

Thanks in advance,
Yeroon
